Martha Alma "Nana" Plemmons

 Martha Alma “Nana” Plemmons, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Memorial Mission Hospital.

 A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Cas Thomas and Bessie Shelton Thomas, and wife of 50 years to the late Larry Plemmons who passed away May 16, 2012. She was also preceded in death by 4 siblings.

 Mrs. Plemmons operated the Plemmons Family Care Home in Buncombe County for many years. She had a passion for serving others, and loved her family more than anything. 

 Surviving are her daughters: Sharon Plemmons, and Stephanie Honeycutt and husband Johnny; grandchildren: Brittany Cassida, Seth Honeycutt and wife Autumn; great-grandchildren: Valor Orth, Mason Honeycutt, and Chesnee Honeycutt; brother, Nick Thomas; and several nieces and nephews.

 A private graveside services will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
