Martha "Munk" Worley

Hendersonville – Martha A. “Munk” Worley, 87, went to sleep peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.

A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County she was a daughter of the late Fred Allen and Nola Magdalene Sanford Allen, and the wife of the late Robert E. Worley. She was also preceded in death by her sisters: Lucille Rash, Ruth M. Allen, and Nola Allen Rhew.

Mrs. Worley loved her family and enjoyed life, she was always brightening others day with her contagious smile. She was a longtime member of Antioch Christian Church and retired from Kearfott Mfg. in June of 1994 after 38 years of service.

Those left to cherish her memory are many beloved nieces and nephews who she affectionately called “her kids”. She will be remembered by those that knew and loved her for her courageous, God-fearing, generous and spunky little spirit that inspired and encouraged those that were blessed to know her.

Memorial services will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Antioch Christian Church, 849 New Haw Creek Rd, Asheville, NC 28805.
