Asheville - Martha Elizabeth Moss Ducker, 78, of 2 Hack Rhodes Drive, passed away Monday, February 25, 2008 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she worked as a Sales Representative for Stevens Upholstery. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church, where she served as the Dorcas Sunday School class teacher for 25 years. Mrs. Ducker was the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Leah Silvers Moss. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, John Bascom JB Wilson; and son, William David Wilson. Surviving are her husband of 30 years, Burgin Junior Ducker, Jr.; daughter, Marcella Wilson of Fredricksburg, VA; sons: John Wilson and wife Peggy of Asheville, Mike Wilson and wife Patricia of Weaverville, and Mark Wilson and wife Lynn Maxwell of Asheville; daughter-in-law, Laurie Wilson of Weaverville; step-children: John Garland and wife Gail of Etowah, Chuck Weaver and wife Angie of Leicester, Dale Ducker and wife Becky of Asheville, Gary Ducker of Asheville, and Johnny Ducker of Weaverville; sister, Charlene Webb; sisters-in-law: Irene Maxwell, Nancy Robinson, Nell Robinson and husband Gerald, and Ruby Ducker; 8 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, including a special niece and caregiver, Judy Sanford. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Wednesday at Victory Baptist Church, with the Rev. Larry Sprinkle and Rev. James Lamb officiating. Burial will follow in Rhodes Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM at the church. Flowers are accepted, or memorial donations may be made to the Brian Center Activities Department, 78 Weaver Blvd., Weaverville, NC 28787. The family wishes to express a special Thank You to the staff of the Brian Center of Weaverville for the special care that Mrs. Ducker received.
