Marie Kuykendall Moody

Asheville - Marie Kuykendall Moody, 82, of 211 Edgewood Rd. died Monday, December 2, 2002 at Emerald Ridge Rehab and Care Center. A native of Forsyth County, she had lived in Buncombe County for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Phillip Mingus and Jevia Mae Burnette Kuykendall and she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph Earl and Claude Kuykendall, sister, Myrtle Guy Davis, and nephew, Richard Davis. Surviving are son, David Daniel Baker of Asheville; granddaughters, Amy Lynn Baker and Amanda Lea Baker both of Asheville; brother, Albert Kuykendall of Candler; 15 nieces and nephews, a number of great nieces and nephews and a number of great great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Friday in the Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Sprinkle officiating. Burial will be in Piney Mtn. United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
