Asheville – Marian Baldwin Shoff, 94, of 4 East Forest Road, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native of Atlanta, GA, she had resided in Asheville since 1936. She was a member of The Gathering and was very active in the Christian Women’s Club where she served as Chairwoman for several terms. She was a graduate of Bob Jones University where she received her Bachelors Degree in Home Economics. Mrs. Shoff was the daughter of the late Curtis Marion Baldwin and Veronica “Polly” Perkins Baldwin. She was also preceded in death by her son, Curtis Baldwin Shoff. Surviving are her husband, Edward B. “Ed” Shoff, Jr. whom she married December 20, 1950; son, Edward B. “Eddie” Shoff, III and wife Brenda Jo Payne Shoff of Fairview; daughter-in-law, Diana DeBord Shoff of Candler; grandchildren, Candace Ellen Arguelles and husband, Albert, Lily Shoff and Michael Edward Shoff; great grandchildren, Drake, Ella and Henry Arguelles. Memorial services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, August 28, 2021 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following services at the funeral home.
