Margaret Sperry

Horse Shoe - Margaret Mae Penland Sperry, 83, of 2666 Brannon Road, died Monday August 18, 2008 at The Elizabeth House after a brief illness. A native of Buncombe County, she lived most of her life in Westfield, MA. She was a daughter of the late John Lester and Alberta Rose Crook Penland and the wife of the late Wesley Sperry. She was also preceded in death by brothers, John Lester Penland, Owen Penland and Elliott Penland. Surviving are her sisters, Betty Jean Pressley and Ruby Ehresman both of Horse Shoe and Gail Natella and husband Ray of Mills River; brother, Clay Penland and wife Diane of Horse Shoe and several Nieces and Nephews. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M. Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Ken Howard officiating. Burial will be in Westfield MA. The family will receive friends following services at the funeral home.
