Margaret L. Wilson

Fairview - Margaret Ellen Laughter Wilson, 87, of 125 Old Fort Road, died Wednesday April 3, 2002 at Fleshers Fairview Health Care following a period of declining health. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. She was a member of Cedar Mountain Baptist Church where she enjoyed playing the piano. She was a loving wife and devoted mother and formerly worked for 15 years at C.P. Clare Co. She was the daughter of the late James Mark and Nancy Ella Laughter and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Edith Frances Wilson. Surviving are her husband of 68 years, Luther Theodore Wilson; daughters, Shirley Wright and husband, Robey and Pat Merrill and husband, Gene all of Fairview; sons, Billy Wilson and wife, Geraline and Rev. Jerry Luther Wilson and wife, Dena all of Fairview; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Revs Bobby Gibson and Jimmy Page officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 Thursday at the funeral home and at other times will be at the residence.
