Marcheta M. Revis- Rose

Marcheta M. Revis-Rose, 72 of Hendersonville passed away 3 AM Friday, November 16, 2012 at Park Ridge Medical Center. A native of Buncombe County, she was born February 27th, 1940 in Asheville, NC, a daughter to the late Ernest Retheal Revis and Helen Amelia Morgan-Revis of Buncombe County, NC. From 1973 until 1991, she was employed in retail management for K-Mart Corporation, where she achieved award winning sales. Marcheta was a member of Haywood Street Methodist Church, Buncombe County, NC prior to marriage and moving to Zanesville, OH in 1959. Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Lester E. Rose (from Monroe County, OH), whom she married May 27th, 1959, of the home, two sons, James L. (Cindy) Rose of Mills River, NC, Michael A. (Federico Reyes) Rose of Columbus, OH, and one daughter, Mia M. Rose-Barr of Hendersonville, NC; three grandchildren, Lindsay Marcheta Rose-Clark of Hendersonville, NC, Brian James Rose of Asheville, NC, and Bryanna Raquel Barr of Hendersonville, NC; siblings, Jack W. (Joan) Revis of Asheville, NC, David R. (Marlene) Revis of Candler, NC, Sheila K. McKinney of Candler, NC, Marsha L. Revis of Los Angeles, CA, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers George H. Revis, Jimmie E. Revis, Billy R. Revis, and John Anthony Revis. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, November 20, 2012 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Gene Edmonds officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Green Hills Cemetery, Asheville, NC. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
