Malena Maria Moore

Asheville Malena Maria Jordan Moore, 81, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Mexico, Mrs. Moore had resided in Buncombe County since 1954. She had retired from Tandy Corp. as a machine operator, and had previously attended Rose Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Moore loved card games and watching her Spanish soap operas. Mrs. Moore was the daughter of the late Antonio and Willie Arayon Jordan, and was the wife of Harold John Moore, who passed away July 28, 2002. She was also preceded in death by a son, Harvey Antonio Tony Moore. Surviving are her son, John Moore; grandchildren: Joshua Erik Moore and wife Sarah, Bobby Moore, and Maria Moore; great-grandchildren: Avery Moore and Alastor Moore; brothers: Joe Jordan and wife Lorenza of New Mexico, and Archie Jordan of Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday in the chapel of the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
