Mabel Pauline Robinson

Swannanoa - Mabel Pauline Robinson, 88, of 121 Edwards Avenue, went to be with the Lord Wednesday September 26, 2001 at her home. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a member of Clayton Avenue Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Robert and Ella Banks Ledford and the wife of the late B. Z. Robinson. She was also preceded in death by a son, Rev. Jimmie J. D. Robinson and a grandson, Jimmy Dean Robinson. Surviving are her daughters, Eleanor Robinson, Oleeta Boone, Rita Gaddy and Elaine Hawkins all of Swannanoa; Sons, James Robinson of Swannanoa, Frank Robinson of LeMarque, Tx., Hubert Robinson of Black Mtn. and Rev. Bruce Robinson of Swannanoa; Sisters, Abby Luther and Avvie Silvers both of Swannanoa; brothers, Bob Ledford of Swannanoa and Jimmy Ledford of Black Mtn.; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday at the Swannanoa Heights Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. B. P. Boyle and Bruce Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Skyview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
