Lynn Buckner

December 27, 1909 — October 9, 2001

Candler - Lynn Buckner, 91, of 240 Liberty Rd. died Tuesday, October 9, 2001 at Pisgah Manor. A native of Buncombe County, he was a retired foreman from American Enka and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Buckner was the son of the late Jim Martin Buckner and Minnie Lee Penland Buckner and was the husband of the late Grace Cole Buckner who died in 1993. Surviving are his daughters, Tami Buckner Sprinkle of Weaverville and Betty Buckner Becker of Morristown, TN; sisters, Lois Buckner Johnson of Candler and Myrtle Lee Buckner Glynn of Sedalia, MO; grandchildren, Nikki Humphryes, Rebecca Humphryes, and Coleton Sprinkle; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday in the Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Stanley Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
