Luther T. Wilson

Fairview - Luther Theodore Wilson, 91, of 125 Old Fort Road went to be with the Lord Saturday September 13, 2003 at Fleshers Family Health Care Center with his family at his side. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he retired from Pritchards Paint and Glass Company after many years of service. He was a member of Cedar Mtn. Baptist Church. He was the son of the late William Van and Caroline Ruth Nesbitt Wilson and the husband of the late Margaret Ellen Laughter Wilson who died April 3, 2002. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Edith Frances Wilson. Surviving are his daughters, Shirley Jean wright and husband Robey of Fairview and Pat W. Merrill and husband Gene of Fairview; sons, Billy Joe Wilson and wife Geraline and Rev. Jerry Wilson and wife Dena of Fairview; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Revs. Jimmy Page and Everette Haney officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P. M. Monday at the funeral home and at other times the family will be at the home of Gene and Pat Merrill at 246 Old Fort Road. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to those who gave loving care to our Dad in the Hubbard Wing of Fleshers Family Health Care Center.
