Lula B. Hipp

Lula Belle Ledford Hipp, 78, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at her residence. A native of Mitchell County she resided most of her life in Buncombe County. She was a daughter of the late Addie Ledford and Delia Belle Davis Ledford. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Sammy Ledford, and sister, Velma Hall both formerly of Spruce Pine. Mrs. Hipp was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was a member of the Dorcas Ladies Sunday School Class. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Leroy Joseph Lee Hipp of the home; sons: Derrick Hipp and wife Kim, and Danny Hipp and wife Kim both of Candler; grandsons: Shawn Hipp and wife Brittany, Dillon Hipp, and Jarrett Hipp all of Candler; sisters: Mary Robinson and husband Max of Nebo, and Sue Medford of Spruce Pine; brother, John Ledford and wife Lucille of Asheville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 17, 2018, in the Sanctuary of Trinity Baptist Church, with Rev. Dr. Ralph Sexton, Jr., Rev. Donnie Walker, Rev. Allen Rash, and Rev. Jerry Payne officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 till 1:45 PM on Tuesday at church.
