Lucy Michael

Asheville – Helen Louise “Lucy” Michael, 79, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Lucy was the daughter of the late Walter Bond Michael, Sr. and Helen Louise Whiteside Michael. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Walt B. Michael, Jr. and Terry Lee Michael and his wife Nancy Michael. Surviving are her caregiver and guardian, Faye Harper with whom she made her home; close friend of the family for many years, Dennis Alexander of Elizabethton, TN; niece, Brenda Crawford and husband Jeff and nephew, Terry Lee Michael, Jr. and wife Janet. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Monday, November 11, 2019 at Green Hills Cemetery, with Rev. Dr. Branton Burleson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 PM Monday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
