Lucy Hine

Arden Annie Elizabeth Lucy Bundy Hine, 84, of 24 St. Andrews Road, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at the Elizabeth House. A native of Raeford, NC, she had resided in Buncombe County since 1954 and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Mrs. Hine was the daughter of the late Hector Tew Bundy and Flora Elizabeth Calhoun Bundy and wife of Hubert Theodore Hine, Jr. who died May 26, 1998. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Ann Owens and her brothers, Buddy and Bill Bundy. Surviving are her children, Debra Hine of Arden, Diane Denton of Asheville, John D. Hine (Livia) and Don Hine (Pat) all of Arden and Larry Hine (Cindy) of Mills River; sister-in-law, Dixie Bundy of Fayetteville; 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 3 PM Sunday, August 31, 2014 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Ralph Sexton, Jr. and Rev. Allen Rash officiating.
