Luciano James Bassani

Luciano James Bassani, 30, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 26, 2023, at his residence.

Born in West Palm Beach, Florida, on March 30, 1993, to Giuseppe Stelo Bassani and Cynthia Phillips Bassani, Luciano grew up and lived most of his life in Berea, Ohio. For the past six years, he worked at the Home Depot while pursuing a degree in the medical field.

He is preceded in death by his father, Giuseppe Stelo Bassani; paternal grandparents, Ferdinando and Maria Anić; and maternal grandparents, Edgar J. and Grace R. Phillips.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Cynthia Phillips Bassani of Oxford, GA; brother, Philip Bassani and his partner Skye Telka of Asheville, NC; uncles: James W. Phillips of Oxford, GA, and Floro and Katie Bassani of Huntingdon, PA; cousins: Laura Bassani, Cristina Bassani, and Matteo Bassani; great-aunt, Sara P. Morgan; and many extended family and friends.

A Graveside service will be held at 1 pm on  Saturday, June 10th, 2023, at the Oxford Historical Cemetery in Oxford GA. A  Reception will follow at The Social Goat in Covington, GA.

A celebration of Luciano's life will also be held at the Immigrant Son Brewery in Lakewood, OH on Saturday, June 24th, 2023 at 1 pm.
