Asheville - Louise Stanley Duckett, 80, formerly of 24 Wolf Creek Drive, passed away Monday, July 24, 2006 at The Laurels of Summit Ridge, following a period of declining health. A native of Madison County, she had lived in Buncombe County since 1945. Mrs. Duckett retired in 1992 from Telco Credit Union after 14 years of service in maintenance. She was a member of Teagues Chapel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Duckett was the daughter of the late Lattie Hugh and Mafrey Mae Wright Stanley, and the widow of Loyd Thomas Duckett, who passed away July 27, 2005. She was also preceded in death by a brother, James T. Stanley. Surviving are her daughters: Theresa Lemonds and husband Terry, with whom she had made her home, of Black Mountain, Peggy Gail Loftis of Asheville and Joyce JoAnn Thomason and husband Gay of Burnsville; sister, Susie Gillespie of Leicester; brothers: Clyde R. Stanley of Asheville, and Wade Doc Stanley of Leicester; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, with the Rev. Gene Turner officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be: Michael Rogers, Jr., Jason Bray, Frank Bray, David Thomason, Chris Thomason, Danny Thomason, and Donald Thomason. The family will receive friends at the home of Theresa and Terry Lemonds, 24 Wolf Creek Drive, Black Mountain, starting at 6:30 PM Tuesday evening, and from 9:30-10:30 AM Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
