Louise Propest Edwards

Candler - Louise P. Edwards, 62, went to be with her Lord on Sunday May 26, 2002 at St. Josephs Hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County and was employed by Mitchell Height Family Care Home. She was a daughter of the late Rev. Garrett A. and Addie L. Propest. She was also preceded in death by her son, Roger Steve Queen and her sisters, Peggy Haney and Brenda Michales. Surviving are her son, Robert Dale Queen of Marion; grandsons, Roger Dale Queen and James Poplin; brothers, Rev. Tommy Propest of Candler and Ralph Propest of Gate City, VA; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Sprinkle and Rev. Tommy Propest officiating. Burial will be in New Morgan Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
