Louis Craig Mckinney

Leicester- Louis Craig McKinney, 64, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, after a brief illness.

He was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and the son of Dorothy Worley and the late Louis McKinney. He was also preceded in death by his son, Christopher Louis McKinney; and his sister, Kimberly Worley Brank.

Craig was a lifelong musician who never knew a stranger and achieved local notoriety. Throughout his life, Craig was a member of many churches, including Victory Baptist which he attended just prior to his death.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda McKinney; his mother, Dorothy Worley; daughters, Scarlett McKinney, and Tara McKinney; grandchildren, Brinson McKinney, and Haylee McKinney; and many beloved extended family members.

The family will receive friends at 12 – 2 PM on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Anders-Rice funeral home, with graveside service to follow at 2:30 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Sonia Burleson officiating.

The family offers their deepest thanks to those that have helped us to fulfill Craig’s last wishes. We could not have done it without the love and support from this amazing community.
