Candler – Loretta “Lynne” Hamlin Raines, 57, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native of Transylvania County she was a daughter of the late Olive Mae Dixon Singleton. Lynne was a long-time member of Avery’s Creek Baptist Church. She loved all her children, family, and church family, and she was beloved by all who knew her. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 38 years, Tim Raines; daughters: Alishia Renee Raines, and Stephanie Diane Raines; grandchildren: Griffan, Holden, and Mollie; half-sister, Susan Wright (Sandy); brothers: Alvin Hamlin (Kathy), Ashley Hamlin (Velvet), and Chris Hamlin; step-brothers: Allen Singleton, and Jack Singleton; and several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Avery’s Creek Free Will Baptist Church, 139 Avery Creek Road, Arden, NC 28704. with pastor Roger Pack officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 till 8 PM at the Anders-Rice Funeral Home, she will also lie-in-state at the church on Tuesday for 1 hour prior to services.
