Lorene Givens Ingle

Asheville – Lorene Givens Ingle, 87, of 108 Appalachian Way went to be with the Lord Saturday, December 25, 2021 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native and resident of West Asheville most of her life, she retired from Stanley Realty & Construction Company as a Bookkeeper and was formerly employed with Bon Marche and Red Cross Shoes as a Saleslady. Mrs. Ingle was a daughter of the late Leland Vinson Givens and Grace Monday Downes and was also preceded in death by her daughter, Teri Witt and stepfather, William Downes. Surviving are her husband of 71 years, George Robert “Loren” Ingle of the home; daughters, Diana Lynn Ingle and Melissa Dawn Ingle both of Asheville; brother, Richard Eugene Downes; 7 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2PM Wednesday, December 29, 2021 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Willie Warren officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pisgah View Memorial Park.
