Lois Hollingsworth

Asheville - Emma Lois Bishop Hollingsworth, 85, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2006 at the St. Josephs Campus of Mission Hospitals. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. Mrs. Hollingsworth retired in the early 80s following 30 years of servive with National Linen Service. She was a daughter of the late James Jim and Bessie Robertson Bishop and wife of Charles Eugene Hollingsworth who died September 3, 1972. She was also preceded in death by her twin brother, Lloyd Bishop and brothers, Paul, Gordan, Archie, General, Ralph and Leonard Bishop. Surviving are her sons, Gene Hollingsworth and wife, Betty and Jackie Hollingsworth and wife, Kathy all of Asheville; grandchildren; Mike Hollingsworth and wife, Maria of Marion, Steve Hollingsworth of Asheville and Rick Tinsley and wife, Keri of Asheville; sister, Ruth Robinson of Asheville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Jarvis officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
