Lloyd Charles Elliott

July 3, 1914 — June 20, 2007

Asheville Lloyd Charles Elliott, 92, of Arden passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at the Fleshers Fairview Health Care Center where he had resided for the past 11 months. A native of Yancey County, he was a 1935 graduate of Burnsville High School. Following graduation he worked for the CCC Camp and served a lifelong career as a Radio, T.V. and Appliance Repairman. He was a member of Arden First Baptist Church. Mr. Elliott was the son of the late Latt Colombus Elliott and Axie JoAnn Peterson Elliott and the husband of Anna Belle Pipes Elliott who passed away December 1, 2006. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Homer Elliott formerly of Roanoke, VA, Raley Elliott formerly of Asheville and Latt Elliott, Jr. formerly of Burnsville. Surviving are his daughters, Billie Coleman (B.L.) of Mauldin, SC, Sherrie Johnson (Doug) of Powell, TN and Debbie Hoggard (Jeffrey) of Greenville, NC; sons, Eddie Elliott (Marcia) of Asheville and Dennis Elliott (Lorie) of Broomfield, CO; 9 grandsons, Jeff and Greg Coleman, Doug, David, Daniel and Andy Elliott and John, Charles and Patrick Hoggard; granddaughter, Alicia Johnson; 4 great grandchildren, Patrick and Patricia Elliott and Nikki and Gregory Coleman; sisters, Marie Brown of Wichita Falls, TX and formerly of Asheville and Macie Keith of Charlotte. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. James Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Arden First Baptist Church, 3839 Sweeten Creek Rd., Arden, N.C. 28704.
