Asheville - Lloyd Bryan Lighting Elliott, 67, of 49 Ben Lippen Road, died Friday November 29, 2002 at Mission St. Josephs Health System following a period of declining health. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. He retired in 1991 from M.B. Haynes Electrical Corp. with whom he was employed for over 30 years. He attended Erwin Hills Baptist Church and was an U.S. Army Veteran. He was a son of the late Samuel Wade and Nellie Womack Elliott. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Wade Elliott, Jr. Surviving are his wife, Sarah Ruth Elliott of the home; sons, Anthony Bryan Elliott and wife, Melissa of Asheville and Lloyd Bradford Chip Elliott and wife, Angela of Asheville; grandchildren, Sam, Josh, Jared, Leah and Jacob all of Asheville; sisters, Ruth Parham, Patsy Cox and Frances McMahan all of Asheville; brothers, Howard Elliott and Kenneth Elliott both of Asheville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 12 noon Monday at Erwin Hills Baptist Church with Pastor Daniel Stephenson, Rev. Allison Robinson, Rev. Enoch Ball, Jr. and Rev. Harold Savell officiating. Music will provided by Rev. Jim Whitted, Rev. Carl Frady and Bobby Spivey. Burial will be at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home and at other times the family will be at the home.
