Linnell Farmer Edwards

Black Mountain - Linnell Farmer Edwards, 81, of 1076 Old Hwy. 70 died Friday, November 9, 2001 at Asheville Health Care Center. A native of Ault County, Colorado, she had lived in Buncombe County for most of her life. She was a member of Black Mtn. First Baptist Church. Mrs. Edwards was a daughter of the late George Leonard and Mary Holcombe Farmer and was the wife of the late Charles William Edwards, Sr. Surviving are her daughters, Sharon Edwards Palmer of Hendersonville, Mary Edwards Shaner of Hull, MA, and Linda Stine of Swannanoa; son, Charles William Edwards, Jr. of Douglasville, GA; sister, Elaine Wright of Hampton, VA; 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1PM Monday at Black Mountain First Baptist Church with the Rev. Clark Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Big Crabtree Baptist Church Cemetery, Spruce Pine.
