Linda Hipps

Asheville Linda Marie Hollifield Hipps, 71, made her triumphant entrance into the gates of Heaven on Monday, September 9, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Ellis and Rosalee Hollifield of Asheville and was also preceded in death by her brother, Larry Hollifield and many other treasured family members. Linda worked for Thoms Orthopedic School, VHP Home Health and Private Duty Nursing. She retired from the Autism Society of NC in 2008. Linda was a Godly woman and a prayer warrior like no other. She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Marvin Hazel Hipps; daughter, Sharon Hipps Rice and husband Rustin of Asheville; son, Michael Hipps and wife Kimberly of Arden; grandchildren, Rachel Rice Haymore, Hannah Rice Thomas and husband Kyle all of Asheville and Branson and Austin Hipps of Arden; great-grandchildren, Hazelee Marie and Hunter Haymore of Asheville; brother, Rev. Charles Hollifield and wife Mary of Cleveland, TN; sisters, Sandra Hollifield Wargel and husband Dennis of Laurel, MS and Diane Hollifield and Renee Eggleston of Asheville and many nieces and nephews. At her request, the family will gather privately for a celebration of her life. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to: John F.
