Linda Carol Buckner Harwood

Linda Carol Buckner Harwood, 60, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native of Buncombe County she was the daughter of the late Junior Perkins and Majorie Bonnie Roberts Buckner. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers: Ronald Buckner and Glenn Buckner; and by a sister, Marjorie Diane Buckner. Linda was a member of the Ernest Angleys Grace Cathedral of Akron, OH. Surviving are her husband, Glen Edward Harwood; daughters: Sarah N. Gentry and husband Dickey, Jennifer Robinson and son-in-law, Paul Butler, Jr, and Jessica Butler and husband Jamie, all of Asheville; son, Gene Ball and wife Amanda of Barnardsville; sister, Pat Roberts and husband Rick of Woodfin; grandchildren: Paul McKenzie Butler III, Zachary Ball, Selina Butler, and Nicole Butler; and by many nieces and nephews. Private graveside services will be held at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends at 461 Paint Fork Road, Barnersville, on Friday, May 23, 2014, from 2 PM till 4 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be to Bank of America, 892 Merrimon Ave, Asheville, NC 28804, in care of the Linda B. Harwood Memorial Fund.
