Lillie Mae Thomas Lovin, 87, entered eternal life on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Fleshers Fairview Health Care Center. A native of Madison County, she resided in Buncombe County most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Jesse and Josie Jane Roberts Thomas. She was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Lovin; sons-in-law: David Friedman, and Roger Randolph; brothers: Floyd Thomas, Delano Thomas, and Dillard Thomas; and sisters: Ellen Henderson and Bertha Swafford. Mrs. Lovin attended Mills Gap Baptist Church and worked in textiles for many years. Surviving are her husband of 68 years, Clint Vernon Lovin; children: Richard Tony Lovin and wife Polly of Newport, TN, Peggy Sue Randolph of Mills River, Linda Lovin Friedman of Asheville, and Patricia Goetsch and husband Larry of Weaverville; grandchildren: Eric, Raven, Charlie, Brian, Aaron, Adrian, Justin, Josephine, and Harry; great-grandchildren: Hunter, Brantley, Cole, Blaze, Cole, Carley, Lola, Carter, and Alex; sisters: Harriet Thomas of Asheville, Mabel Pace of Saluda, and Martha Littrell of Candler; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 4 PM Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Mills Gap Baptist Church, 370 Mills Gap Rd, Asheville, NC 28803, with Rev. Jeff Wilkie officiating. The family will receive friends for 1 hour prior to services at the church.
