Lillian Lee Edna Hensley Smith

Asheville - Lillian Lee Edna Hensley Smith, 81, of 73 Forsyth St. died Friday, April 12, 2002 at St. Josephs Hospital. A native of Henderson County, she was a member of the Salvation Army and was a retired nurse from the Brooks-Howell Home. Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late Henry Taylor and Hattie Jones Cudd and was the wife of the late Ervin Smith. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Billy Hensley. Surviving are her daughters, Patricia Hollyfield of Brevard, Bobbie Diana Ward and husband Kevin of Enka-Candler, and Ramona Lynn Hensley of Atlanta, GA; son, Robert Lee Hensley of Atlanta GA; grandchildren, William Joseph Case and wife Sharon, Anthony Ray Case, Jessie Marion Case and wife Patti, David Lee Pangle, Jonathan Walton Roberts, and Joel David Roberts; great grandchildren, William Joseph Case, III, Emily Pangle, and Heather Pangle. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday in the Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel with Mrs. Brig. Martha Herring officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 PM Monday at the funeral home.
