Libby Banks

Fairview – Elizabeth “Libby” Haney Banks, went home to be with her Saviour on March 30, 2020 after years of declining health. Libby was a member of Spring Mountain Baptist Church. She was the wife of the late Roger A. Banks who passed in 2000, and daughter of the late Mary Haney Mitchell and stepfather, Carroll Mitchell. She was also preceded by grandson, Matthew Spivey, and half siblings, Mikey Mitchell, Gary “Jabo” Mitchell and Shelia Shockey. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Rev. Terry Banks and wife Yvonne, of whom she made her home the last months; daughters, Tracy Spivey, Tanya Banks, Christy Bolden and Tabitha Banks and partner King Tenant; grandchildren, Tyler Garrison, Michael and Shawn Banks, Zachery and Jacob White, Brandi and Reggie(Jr) Bolden, Xavier, Jaylyn and Malakai Banks-Tenant and Devon Brinson; great-grandchildren, Landon, Alex, Debra, Amos, Silas, Autumn, Gracie, Jackie, and soon to be Skylar; brother, Terry Haney and wife Sharon and half-sister, Sherry Walters. A private graveside service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, April 2, 2020 at Sky View Memorial Park, with Rev. Charles Rogers officiating.
