Lester "Pete" Rose

Hendersonville – Lester Earl “Pete” Rose, 86, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 14, 2024, at his residence.

A native of Monroe County, Ohio. He was a strong Christian man, master carpenter, loved fishing and gardening, loved his family, and was a highly admired man. In addition to stints at Dunzweiler Construction and Tri-Y, he owned and operated Rose Construction with his brother, George, in Zanesville, Ohio.

He was the son of the late George Forest Rose, Sr. and Virgie Cook Rose. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Marcheta Mae Revis Rose, and siblings: George Rose, Jr., Virginia Rose Thomas, Elizabeth “Mickey” Porche and Sterling DuWayne Rose.

Surviving are his children: James Rose (Elizabeth), Michael Rose (Federico) and Mia Barr; grandchildren: Lindsay Rose (Amy), Brian Rose and Bryanna Drazl (Joey); great grandchildren: Mela Rose Drzal and Joseph Drzal, V and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, October 19, 2024, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Saturday prior to services at the funeral home.
