Lela Shelton Davis

Asheville – Lela Shelton Davis, 93, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at her home..

A native of Madison County, she was the wife of the late Ernest Davis, and daughter of the late Albert Vernon Shelton and Vinnie Hall Shelton.

Lela retired from Sears in 1998 after 50 years of service and was a member of Temple Baptist Church since 1957.

She leaves behind two children: Phyllis Steen and husband Phillip and Randy Davis; five grandchildren: Logan Davis, Will Davis, Aaron Steen, Bonnie Willis, and Oliver Steen; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Ala Shook and Naomi Dickerson of Virginia.

A private burial service will be held at Pisgah View Memorial Park.
