Lavona "Pete" Lowe

Hendersonville In loving memory of Allie Lavona Pete Powers Lowe, 76, of 1510 Hebron Street, went to be with her Lord Saturday, January 10, 2009 at the Golden Living Center. A native and resident of Asheville most of her life. She was a born again believer and attended Asheville First Church of the Nazarene. She was a daughter of the late Luther Richard Powers and Bessie Mehaffey Powers. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Forrest Luther Powers and sisters, Beulah Powers & Geneva Powers Matthews. Surviving are her son, Stephen Luther Lancaster & wife, Kathy of Enka; sisters, Blanche Powers Connor of Pelzer, SC and Virginia Powers Penland of Beaumont, CA; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Memorial services will be held 2 PM Thursday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with her niece Aurelia Sunshine Connor of Anderson, SC officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial services at the funeral home. Flowers are appreciated and will be taken following the memorial service and placed on her parents graves in her memory.
