Larry Jordan

Leicester – Larry Lee Jordan, 74, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Larry worked as a machinist, gardener, painter, carpenter, and all-around handyman. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping and fishing. He never met a stranger and was loved by all.

Larry was the son of the late John Marlin and Ruby Ball Jordan, and was recently preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Carroll.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Donna Cole Jordan; children: Shelly J. Wyatt and husband Jeff, Carrie J. Myers and husband Neil, and Chris Jordan and wife Jennifer; grandchildren: Kelsey Wyatt, Courtney W. Burke and husband Chris, Colby Wyatt with Michelle Allen, Zachary Myers, Noah Myers with Sarah Craycraft, Madeline Myers, Kimberly J. Snyder and husband Colt, and Megan Jordan with Brandon Johnson; great-grandbabies, Rylee and Benjamyn; seven siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with Tim Warren officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
