Larry Clay Worley

Larry Clay Worley, 65, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 14, 2018 at his residence. Larry was born and raised in Michigan, and resided in Buncombe County for the past 27 years. He was the son of Norma Carrington Worley of Asheville, and the late Roy C. Worley. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents: Matthew Tyson Worley and Lilly Worley, and J.D. Carrington and Adell Crawford Carrington. Larry worked as an automotive technician for 41 years. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved family, hunting, fishing, and baseball. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Jackie Worley; children: Christy Worley Johnson and husband Bob, Jenny Lynn Worley, Matthew Clay Worley and wife Trish all of Taylor, MI, Brian Keith Blair and wife Misty of Smithville, TN, Michael Alan Blair and wife Michelle, Elizabeth Ann Blair, and Heather Faye Blair all of Asheville; sister, Barbara Ramey and husband Ron of Taylor, MI; 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Wednesday, September 19, 2018 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with Pastor Brent Keating and Rev. Tim Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 till 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
