Asheville Kremer Wright Phillips, 92, of 25 Reynolds Mtn Blvd, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 13, 2013 at Emerald Ridge Rehab & Care Center. A native of Gadsden, AL, he was the son of the late Ernest Ray Phillips and Lola Ethel Masters Phillips and husband of Nettie Beatrice Wilson Phillips who died December 14, 2003. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Nell Baucom; son-in-law, William Parker; three sisters and three brothers. Surviving are his daughters, Patsy P. Parker-Farrell and husband Randy of Burlington, Kathi Crain of Louisburg and Pam P. Corn and husband Dennis of Asheville; son-in-law, Jeff Baucom of Candler; grandchildren, Bill Parker and wife Debbie, Patty Coltrane, Stavros Baucom, Chris Baucom and wife Mili, Denise Kerns, Jody Crain, Shawn Crain, Kayla DeLong, Misty Garren and husband Stephen and Amanda Corn; 18 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; sister, Ida Stewart of Weaverville; sister-in-law, Kathleen Parker of Prosperity, SC and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Monday, December 16, 2013 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Easterling officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Monday at the funeral home. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Emerald Ridge A-Hall for their love and care given to Mr. Phillips and a special thanks to his granddaughter, Amanda, for her dedication, service and all the biscuits she supplied him.
