Kim Clements

Asheville – Kim Morrow Anders Clements, 66, of 42 O’Donald Road, went to be with the Lord, Friday, July 21, 2023 at the Care Partners Hospice Center.

A lifelong resident of Buncombe County and a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Fred Baxter Anders and Billie Lunsford Anders and was also preceded in death by her sister, Karen Anders.

Mrs. Clements taught Kindergarten at West Buncombe Elementary School for 21 years, having received her bachelor’s degree from Mars Hill College and her master’s in education from Western Carolina University.

Surviving are her husband of 31 years, Gibson “Gib” Strother Clements of the home; children: Kelly Silvers (Jacob) of Van Buren, AR, Erin Michelle Morrow (Rick Pigeon) of Stanley and Tyler Gibson Clements of Asheville; grandchildren: Zebulon Silvers, Jaxson Silvers and Jayce Pigeon; brother: Keith Anders (Kathy) of Asheville; special grand nieces and nephew, Ava and Juliana Sagar and Hunter Motsinger; her extended family, the staff and members of West Buncombe Elementary, her two special assistants, Pam McKinney and Joyce Rogers and all of the students she had the privilege to have touched over these many years and that she loved.

Memorial services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Ronnie Owen and Rev. Cam McLaughlin officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following services at the church.
