Ken Plemmons

Leicester – Kenneth Kermit “Ken” Plemmons, age 87, went to be with his loved ones on Friday, April 30, 2021. He was born July 17, 1934 in Spring Creek to his late parents, Kenneth V. and Bonnie Lee Meadows Plemmons, whom we are sure met him at Heaven’s door, along with his son, William. Ken leaves behind to treasure his memories his loving wife of 64 years, Laura Vincent Plemmons. He is also survived by a brother, Bill and his wife Jackie; sister, Barbara Joyner and her husband Gordon; and sister, Bonnie Maness. Ken was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Upon completion of his Bachelors and Masters degrees at Virginia Polytechnic Institute, he became an engineer at Newport News Shipyard and worked there until his retirement. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 14, 2021 at Spring Creek United Methodist Church, where Ken and Laura are members. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is assisting Ken’s family.
