Ken Allison

Leicester - Kenneth Dillard Allison, 65, of 1503 Leicester Hwy. went to be with his Lord Tuesday, July 13, 2004 following a long illness. He was a native of Madison County and had resided in Buncombe County for most of his life. He was a farmer and had been formerly employed with Dixie Lawn Service for the N.C. Department of Highways. Mr. Allison was the son of Eliza Lou Worley Allison of Leicester and the late Jasper Jerome J.J. Allison and was the husband of the late Catherine Rosetta Kistner Allison. Surviving in addition to his mother are his sons, Robert K. Allison and wife Arlene and Dave E. Allison and wife Telma all of Leicester; daughter, Patty L. Wright and husband James of Candler; sisters, Nina Freeman and Mary Lou Freeman both of Leicester; brothers, Jerry Allison of Raleigh, Wade Allison and Clyde Allison both of Leicester; grandchildren, Jameece McKinley, Anniece Allison, Dakota Bowlin, Kelcey Wright, Drew Wright and Ty Wright; 2 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday in the Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Freeman, Rev. Marc Penley and Mr. Allisons son, Mr. Robert K. Allison officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, Spring Creek. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
