Kathy Jones

Asheville - Kathy Stirewalt Jones, 55, went to be with Christ Thursday, January 8, 2009 at the St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals after a brief battle of cancer. Miss Jones was the daughter of Dorothy Stirewalt of Fairview and the late Robert Stirewalt. In addition to her mother, surviving are her son, Scotty Jones and wife Callie of Arden; granddaughter, Elizabeth Jones of Arden; brother, Jeff Stirewalt of Fairview; and sister, Cheryl Lunsford of Woodfin. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Sunday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Allen Rash officiating. Burial will follow in Emmas Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
