Katherine Anders

Alexander - Katherine Mason Anders, 76, of 11 Tyler Cove unexpectedly went home to be with Jesus on Sunday December 1, 2002. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she retired from Schandlers Pickle Barrel and was a member of Paynes Chapel Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Dewey Clinton and Hester Camby Mason and the wife of the late Walter Malley Anders. Surviving are his sons, Harold Paul Anders and wife Deborah and Larry L. Anders and wife Linda all of Marshall; sister, Vernie Banks and husband Bill of Barnardsville; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 1 niece, 1 nephew and special friends, Rev. Ken Griffin and wife Nancy. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Alexander Baptist Church with the Revs. Ken Griffin and Everette Haney officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Anders-Rice.
