Kateena Haynie

Asheville – Kateena Gayle Haynie, 37, of 5 Deavermont Circle, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 26, 2019. A native and resident for most of her life of Buncombe County, she was employed with Thermo Fisher Scientific. She was a daughter of Maria Mason Galloway of Asheville and the late Richard Dwight Gray, formerly of Oak Ridge, TN. Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, Randall Stewart Haynie, II of the home; sons, Jayce Thompson and Eann Thompson both of the home; sisters, Sarah Elizabeth Mason and Lois Marie Westenhouser both of Asheville; brother, James Richard Gray of Oak Ridge, TN and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, including Penny Smucker and Treva Miller both of Georgia. Graveside services will be held at 10 AM Monday, June 3, 2019 at Oak Hill UMC Cemetery, Oak Hill Road, Candler, with Rev. Robert Haynie officiating. The family will be at the residence following graveside services to receive friends. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is assisting the Haynie family.
