Karla Beckett

Asheville Karla Pauline Skinner Beckett, 72, of Crowell Farms Court, passed away Friday, March 26, 2010 at her residence. A native of Youngstown, OH, she had resided in Buncombe County for the past four years. Ms. Beckett was the daughter of the late Clifford and Helen Duke Skinner, and was also preceded in death by a sister, Anne Camou. Surviving are her children: Susan Rueger (Walter) of Mountain Home, ID, and John Hallet, Jr. (Susan) of Asheville; grandchildren: Laura Howard and Matthew Rueger, both of Mountain Home, ID, Sgt Andrew Myers (Brandie) of Anchorage, AK, and Second Lt. David Myers of Colorado Springs, CO; and great-grandchildren: Caleb and Aubrey Gahagan of Mountain Home, ID, and Kaydance Myers of Anchorage, AK. Ms. Beckett wished to be remembered in the hearts of her family and friends, but, at her request, no services will be held. Memorial donations may be made to the Asheville/Buncombe Humane Services, 72 Lees Creek Road, Asheville, NC 28806. Anders-Rice Funeral Home and Cremation Center is assisting the family.
