Alexander – Judy Rymer Williams, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 17, 2024, peacefully while surrounded by family after a short illness.
A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was born on August 30, 1940, at St. Joseph’s Hospital to Elzie P. “Bud” and Eva Virginia Rymer. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Garland Casada.
Judy was a longtime member of Macedonia Baptist Church and was a lifelong dedicated Christian. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 42 years, Jim Williams; daughter, Tammie Whitlock and husband Weaver; step-children: Rusty Williams, Steve Williams and wife Cindy, and Stephanie Taylor; granddaughter, Amber Bianca Rice and husband Daniel; sister, Shirley Smith and husband Charles; brother, Phil Rymer and wife Patsy; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Graveside services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, June 21, 2024, at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, 1468 Jenkins Valley Road, Alexander, NC 28701, with Steve Ward officiating.
