Juda Jackson

Candler - Juda Morris Jackson, 67, of 4 Biscayne Drive, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2009 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital. A native of McDowell County, she had resided in Buncombe County for 42 years. She worked as a Medical Technologist, and was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church. Mrs. Jackson was the daughter of the late Carl and Rosa Turner Morris. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Eston Morris. Surviving are her husband of 42 years, John Thomas Jackson, of the home; daughter, Monica Jackson Correll of Candler; grandchildren: Destiny Correll, Logan Correll, Trent Correll, Kallen Burns and Serenna Burns; sisters: Jeanette MacRae and husband Rhonald of Old Fort, and Violet Monteith and husband Bronsen of DeLands, FL; brother, C.L. Morris and wife Frances of Old Fort; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. John Tiller and Rev. Bill Higgins officiating. Burial will follow in McDowell Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Floral arrangements are accepted, or memorial donations may be made to the Sunrise Baptist Church Childrens Ministry, 419 Deaverview Road, Asheville, NC 28806.
