Joyce S. Riebell

Asheville Joyce Alene Sprouse Riebell, 74, of 266 Old Farm School Road, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a 1960 graduate of Biltmore High School. Mrs. Riebell was the daughter of the late Lewis Martin Sprouse and Margaret Edna Mae Spivey Sprouse. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Randall and Bruce Sprouse and sister, Serena Sprouse. Surviving are her husband whom she married April 16, 1967, William Albert Riebell of the home; sons, Robert Jordan Riebell and wife Tammy of Fletcher and Joseph William Riebell of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, William Jordan Riebell and Heather Miller; great grandson, Hunter Miller; brother, Harold Sprouse and wife Gloria of Alexander and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 6 PM Thursday, May 12, 2016 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Joanne Coates officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following services at the funeral home.
