Joann Yvonne Eidson

Candler On October 7th, JoAnn Yvonne Inglette Eidson, 76, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt, went to be with the Lord. A native of Buncombe County, she had served in Health Care Administration. Mrs. Eidson was a daughter of the late Herman Roy Inglette and Rachel Christine DeBord Gaudet and was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Eidson who died in 1989. Surviving are her sons, Andy DeBord Smythe and wife, Crystal of Wilmington and Kenneth Ross Jessup of Long Beach; daughter, JoLynn LaCoursiere and husband, Hal of Wake Forest; sisters, Carolyn Waites and husband, Harold of Candler and Linda Councilman and husband, John of Port Orange, FL; step sisters, Sharon Walton and Juanita Kitt Kline both of Wilmington; 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. JoAnn loved to travel and made many cross country trips, always looking for a new place to visit. Always prepared to stop and take advantage of the beautiful scenery with a picnic basket always in the car. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh and her ability to put a smile on everyones face. Memorials may be made to: American Cancer Society, P.O.
