Joann Banks

Our mother, Joann M. Banks, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday, October 6, 2012 and joins her beloved husband Bud. She leaves behind her children, John Banks (Francisca) of TX, Connie Davidson (Hedrick) of NC, Anna Banks Beach of SC, Tim Banks of England, Daniel Banks (Yolanda) of MS, her mother, Pauline Stoll, sisters, Vivian Douan, Rachel Carter, brother, Joe Shuler all of SC, loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, many foster children that blessed her life and Jean Newman her dearest friend. Mom taught us all about love and forgiveness, mercy and grace and how to look past the pain and disappointments and to grab hold of hope. She was creative and loved babies. Only she could calm and soothe a childs fear with a touch and turn rags into beautiful treasures. She held her fears and hurts close but was always wiling to offer her heart. She was a quiet, kind, beautiful lady and will be missed always. A private service will be held at a later date.
