Jo Ann Pearson

Jo Ann Brooks Pearson, 84, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Mission Hospital.

She was the daughter of the late Rev. E.B “Eddie” Brooks, founder of Woodland Terrace Baptist Church, who died in 1983, and her mother, Edna Ruth Brooks, who died in 1999; and wife of the late Morris Dale Pearson who died May 29, 2000. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Alice Weatherman and her husband Donald Weatherman.

Jo Ann was a longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sister, Sylvia Warren; brother, Charles “Butch” Brooks; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 2 PM at Pisgah View Memorial Park with Rev. Dr. Ralph Sexton, Jr and Rev. Allen Rash officiating. Special Music will be provided by Rev. Doug Guy.

A guest registry will be available to be signed at Anders-Rice Funeral Home from now until the morning of Saturday, April 26, 2025.
