Asheville – Jimmy Blake Hensley, 60, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 23, 2024.

A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Jimmy loved exploring the world. He loved riding around seeing the sights, his favorite television shows, playing the drums, and his loving pets. He loved life and his family and was always there for anyone who needed him. Jimmy was a wonderful brother, uncle, and friend to so many.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his mother Vivian Leola Smith Hensley; sisters, Peggy Duncan, Jeanette Wallace, Susan (Pam) Ruiz, Joan Smith, Karen Hensley, and Penny Hensley.

Those left to cherish his memory are his brother, Kenneth Hensley(MaryAnn); sisters, Regina Driesbach(Dave), and Lynn Watson; nieces, Tabitha Bakhashwain(Asaad), Heather Newman(Lee), and Kimberly Nye(Keith), nephews and many extended family and friends.
